Your Festive season just wouldn’t be complete without Beauvale

Beauvale

Good Evening Cheesy1’s,

Over the last few weeks I have been thinking about what has the potential to be hot this Christmas season when it comes to cheese. Now with so many options out there to choose from it makes adding cheese to your festive season a tough decision, but of course Stilton will be the main stay with the traditionalists. Although this year there is a well established fan base for the newcomer on the block that is wanting to wrestle for the top spot, and it comes in the form of a blue cheese which is soft, rich and creamy from Cropwell Bishop Creamery called Beauvale. This beautiful cheese has grown in popularity over the last 12 months to put itself right into the hearts of the cheese lover. It has recently won the Great Taste Awards and its even bigger award of being in the top 50 Great Taste Foods. The sensation this gives you of filling the palate with flavour and fulfilling your cheesy side is incredible and the result of which is a pretty unique foodie memory. The cheese is also fairly versatile for your Christmas meal as well because you could have it as a creamy blue cheese souffle starter, a topping for your beef main and as blue cheese ice cream for a savoury dessert  or of course as part of a cheese board for after dinner. This versatility combined with its flavour means that it may very well in a few years time become more popular than its harder blue cheese brother. So for now If you are looking for something that will give your cheese board that little something special this festive season you have to pick up some Beauvale here or pop into your nearest Waitrose.
